Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety

This is the newest Certificate IV Work Health and Safety qualification.

The learning is self-paced on-line.  It is a nationally accredited training qualification.

The course is for anyone working in a work health and safety (WHS) role who provides a broad range of technical knowledge and skills in that role.  The course is also ideal for anyone wanting to pursue a career in WHS and workplace supervisors who manage staff and contribute to WHS within the workplace.

The course generally takes 6 -12 months.  You must successfully complete the  5 core units and 5 elective units to be issued the full qualification.

You will be provided with Learner Guides and Assessment Workbooks for each module. There is also a simulated work environment to facilitate the assessment tasks and give them workplace context.  The simulated work environment is accessed through Compliant Learning Solutions intranet site; links, user details and a password is provided.  The links provided in each module will take you to additional resources such as legislation to assist you to complete the assessments.

Your assessments will be reviewed by a qualified and experienced WHS trainer/assessor and feedback provided.

Resources required to complete this qualification:

  • Computer with internet access
  • Printer to download and print resources/research
  • Access to Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel
  • Access to video software to record presentations.  Some mobile phones have video capacity
  • Access to a workplace supervisor to complete some assessments

Asbestos General Awareness Training

This course is for participants in the building, construction, demolition and telecommunications industries that need an introduction to working in environments that may have Asbestos.

The course aims to provide a general awareness of how to identify Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM), hazards associated with working with ACM and legislative requirements associated with ACM.
